Evaluating Online Lenders

If you have been online looking for a lender then you have seen just how many there are to choose from.  But there are some thing to consider before you choose on to apply to.  First of all, notice their website.  This is similar to a store front and should give you an idea as to what they are about and what they offer.  This will be your first impression so it should so it should loan fast and not have loads of pop-ups.

The privacy policy is the next important part so look to see if it makes sense and is posted in a way you know their intent to comply with regulation and laws.  Next, look for an “about us” page.  If there isn’t not, then that will be your first red flag because a lender should be proud of it’s past history and want to tell you about it.

Next, send this lenders web address and go to Alexa.com.  This will tell you what kind of traffic this site gets and how popular it is. Reputation can be gotten from friends and associates but you will find better information through the Better Business Bureau. Here you will find any complaints that others have toward this lender so don’t think that popularity is everything.
